So I sort of made a New Years Resolution to spend more time and energy on this blog, I really am trying but it’s not easy when you have a full time job and you’re desperately trying to binge-watch Pretty Little Liars before someone goes and spoils something for you (FYI I’m on season 3).
Anyway, part of my deal to myself was to try and do these monthly round-up type posts so here goes my first one.
ON THE BLOG
January saw me publish the following posts for those who missed them…
Weekly photo challenge: Circle – Hobbiton, NZ – I enjoy taking part in the WordPress weekly photo challenge so used one of my New Zealand photos for this circle theme.
Feel the fear… and do it anyway – Black water rafting, glowworms, minor embarrassment, almost panic attacks, caving in flipflops. It’s all here.
Crossing the International Date Line – December 1st photo diary – aka when I went time travelling. Kinda.
Six Super Singapore Must-Dos – From slings to supertrees this post gives you my top tips of what not to miss!
Cafe Tropicana – Book Review – I decided to write a review of my most recently read book by my favourite author, Belinda Jones. And guess what! She retweeted me AND tweeted me back!
The night I spent in jail – You’ll just have to read it to find out why!
A view from the top: Sky Tower Auckland – New Zealand – The 5th installment of my View from the Top series.
26 things I love about Australia – In celebration of it being Australia Day on 26th January, I decided to compile a list of 26 things because everyone loves a list!
The vibrant island of Burano – Weekly photo challenge – I started the month with a photo challenge so I will end the month with one too!
Actually, when I look at the list, I think I’m doing pretty well with my blogging resolution! Although a bit slow off the mark with my social media, I’ve been putting in a bit of effort with pinterest this month so go check it out.
As far as real life in January goes, apart from seeing in the new year dressed as a geisha and drunk on prosecco, plus a couple of nice lunches out catching up with friends, I haven’t really done an awful lot. I’m still in post-travel blues, paying off my credit card and generally being a bit of a grump.
One thing I did do that was alot of fun and really lifted my mood was trampolining. I haven’t laughed or exercised as much as that in ages! While my friends were able to do somersaults and whatnot, I could barely do a seat drop but nonetheless I enjoyed myself and it certainly beats going to the gym! You can read all about it on my friend and fellow blogger Sally’s blog Life Loving.
So… how has January been for you? Tell me something awesome!
